Liberty Road Responds to Windsor Mill House Fire

On January 20th just after 2 p.m units from Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the single-family residence. Engine 461 arrived and found heavy smoke showing. Because the house is located in an area without hydrants, tankers were dispatched to supply additional water to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters from Engine 3 found the victim just inside the front door on the main level of the home. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

A large portion of the first floor collapsed into the basement, necessitating the evacuation of fire personnel and hindering attempts by Baltimore County fire investigators to examine the scene. The fire remains under investigation.
