August 2010: Mayday Training

Members of Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Co. trained with the help of Baltimore County Station 13 for mayday situations. These trainings are necessary to keep our Fire Fighters keen to the many dangers and obstacles encountered in this profession. Our volunteers do this on their own time, while also juggling jobs and family.

September 2009: Water Management Training at LRVFC

Station 46 members participated in their weekly training for portable master stream evolutions and water management. A portable master stream device is a way to deliver large quantities of water to a rather large fire without positioning a fire engine or ladder truck within close proximity to burning structure. This device can be setup by two firefighters extremely close to a burning structure, then secured to the ground and left unmonitored but supplied with water by a fire engine that is located a further distance away.

August 2009: Ventilation Training at LRVFC

Liberty Road conducted in house training for the newly purchased cutters edge saw that allows our firefighters to cut to a specific depth through a wide variety of building materials for ventilation.
