About Us

Station 46.jpg

The Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Company was founded in 1947 by members of our local community. Over the past sixty plus years the area has evolved from very rural to a suburban density. The community now contains numerous apartments, extended care facilities, mercantile structures, municipal and state services, park facilities, schools, various large & small rock quarries, and a major reservoir that services Baltimore City.

We are located roughly 5 ½ miles outside of the beltway in Randallstown, Baltimore County, MD. The primary response area is roughly 24 nautical miles and extends from Liberty Road and Chapman Road to Liberty Road and the Carroll County Line; from the Howard County to New Town High School.

We have 6 response vehicles to include one fire engine, one mini pumper, one ambulance, two utility vehicles, and one brush truck. All of our response vehicles are capable of providing Emergency Medical assistance. The Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Company is governed by a Board of Directors who oversee company operations and administrative functions. The administrative functions are governed by the person who is elected President; while the operational functions are governed by the person who is elected Captain.

Members have the ability to serve in one of two capacities; as a riding member who responds on emergency/non-emergency calls or a non-riding member who does not respond on emergency/non-emergency calls.
